What’s up with Buzz?  Did he see M.I.A.’s unscripted flip of the bird during the Superbowl’s Halftime Show?

Is he as mad as I am that we have another funk in the house (poor Joey has Strep throat with fun extras like puking and 104 fevers)?

Or maybe he’s mad that we’re out of wine…that’s an empty wine rack behind him.  I keep the red wine there, but alas, the fridge is empty too.  This house seems to also be missing soda, chocolate and anything else that might make the last three days bearable.

So no, Buzz, there will be no buzz.  But I might join you in a end of day flip of the bird.  It might not taste as good as wine, or make my sick kid better any faster, but it sure makes me feel a little better!

Ever felt like having a grown up tantrum? Go ahead! Let it out! I’m not judging!

  1. So glad I found your blog today. It makes me happy:)

  2. Why just this morning I had one, dealing with co-workers who happen to be family can be very stressing, a simple flip of the bird can relieve a lot of that stress. Its a better solution than murder, however tempting.. -_-

  3. I have one at least once a day :) But since I’m a teacher I cannot do this! Hope Joey feels better and tell him Emma said she does too ;)

    • I imagine, if I was a teacher, I’d need several tantrums to relieve my stress throughout the day. Of course, not in front of the kids, which is what I do here. I wait until I’m alone to release a string of obscenities. Might not seem productive to some people, but it always makes me feel immediately better!

And thanks for the well-wishes for Joey. Poor kid is still super sick. He’s been in bed since Monday and even after two full days of antibiotic, woke with a 104 fever again this morning. We’ll be back at the doctors tomorrow if he’s still not better. Just love these elementary school germs! :)

  4. Stuck inside with sick children is the worse! Not having red wine and chocolate – that’s criminal! I’m not sure how I’d survive. I wouldn’t – I’d beg my hubby to run out and get me some quick!

  5. Lol! In fact, if I thought I could get away with it, that picture would be my computer bogs at work. Smile while you show the “man” what you are really thinking… Sorry to hear you have no relief from a sick child, but you totally made my evening after “one of THOSE days”. Thanks for sharing.

  6. I almost spit my coffee at the screen when I saw buzz flippin us off. Too funny.

BTW – I think grown up tantrums are allowed.

  7. I think I may need to borrow Buzz when you’re done with him.

  8. There’s so many places you could go with this. And at first, I thought your wine rack was Buzz add-on gear or something (it looks like it’s attached to his back), and thought maybe my boys had missed out on something all these year. Now that I know it’s an empty wine rack, wow, I feel almost a moral obligation to fill that again for you. Especially given that you’re dealing with a sick child and all.
