Holidays can be stressful.
There’s often traveling, shopping, crowds, cleaning, cooking, family, and a million things in between.
Is there another dinner that requires more prep or work than Thanksgiving?
I think not.
And causing some extra holiday stress for me, it seems like every year I forget something major or have a last minute revelation.
Oh God! The turkey is still frozen! It’s been thawing all week; how is that even possible?!
Cranberry sauce! Where’s the damn Cranberry sauce?
I scrubbed the entire house, but did I do a last minute check of the downstairs powder room that guests will be using? (Specifically a toilet check)
Do I have a proper centerpiece? (Just kidding)
Did I remember real potatoes? (Last year we dined on Potato Spuds from a box – fancy!)
Did I cook the giblets in the bag inside the turkey ? Opps. (Also last year)
This outfit I put together for myself looks good, but oh God, I need to take off these pants before I burst!
Sure, I spend most days of the year in my yoga pants, I do try to jazz it up for the holidays. Do you know what holiday pants don’t usually have though?
Elastic should be as essential on Thanksgiving as tukey!
Truth be told, I never knew what I was missing until I spent three separate Thanksgivings in maternity pants when I was pregnant, and now I feel like I’m going without.
So what’s the solution?
Get knocked up every year in time for turkey dinner?
Living a Duggar lifestyle might create more problems for me than it would solve…
For some reason society still calls for pants at the dinner table, so that’s a no-go…
Wear maternity pants with pride?
Sure, you know me, I take no shame in some of my outfits, but that doesn’t mean I wouldn’t suggest going with something a little more subtle than the giant maternity panel pants. Unfortunately for me, I gave away my last two pairs of maternity jeans (the elastic waist, non-giant panel kind) this year.
Yes, that’s right. Just because you’re not in your second trimester doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t enjoy your second helpings this Thanksgiving. For less than $15, I’ll be wearing my regular pants but thanks to the Pregnancy Pant Extenders, I’ll be eating my fill in comfort!
Joey Tribbiani knows what I’m talking about!
This week is usually pretty crazy for most people, so I wanted to take the time early to wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving!
And there are a few giveaways I have lined up starting next week, but be sure to enter my Bad Gift Giveaway as well! I’ve thrown in a few good gifts too (wine, Amazon gift card, stylish tote & more!)
