My kids are off of school today due to the extreme temperatures, and since apparently my suggestions for the kid’s activities weren’t appealing enough to my six year old, he started throwing out his own like, “Let’s go to the park! I bet it won’t even be crowded!”
It’s not just cold out there either; it’s POLAR VORTEX cold out there.
It’s obviously been all over the news, and listening to the meteorologists talk it sounds like something from the movie The Day After Tomorrow…or a like how a friend of mine often describes his ex-wife.
Either way, if you’re like me (and most of the country), and you find yourself stuck in a polar vortex, there are things that you can do to stay safe and warm. Experts suggest the following:
1. Do not go outside for any reason.
Short list I know, but they don’t need to twist my arm.
So today, since I’m fortunate enough not to have a job that requires me to go outdoors, and my kids are off from school due to the brutally cold temperatures, I’m going to take heed and follow their instructions. I have found a few easy ways to deal with the polar vortex indoors too, and instead of making a list, I thought it would be easier to show you in a picture.
Are you with me? How are you staying warm? Leave me a comment and let me know! I love hearing from you!
