My almost five year old daughter – don’t you dare call her just four years old– has been doing that thing where she talks, and talks, and talks…
Technically, this phase of incessant speech started around the time she was 18 months old, but now it’s a little different. Back then it was mostly babbling filled in with her then limited toddler vocabulary, whereas now it’s a constant stream of random observations with very few cohesive thoughts in between with virtually no filter.
There are moments, however, where she’ll take pause and really ponder something before blurting it out. One of those moments was over breakfast this morning while we enjoyed some scrambled eggs.
She really does use a ridiculous amount of ketchup.
