An unexpected feeling fell over me as I sat working on a hectic Monday morning.
After sitting in one spot for a number of hours, hunched over my computer and working through some deadlines, I felt as though a weight had been lifted. It was quite an odd sensation because there was no reason that I should feel a release of tension, still having hours left in my day to work and more than enough items to do in that time.
Regardless, I sat back in my chair and breathed a heavy sigh.
It felt good – like end of the day good – and for a moment I remained perfectly still in my chair welcoming the freeing feeling.
When the doorbell chimed a moment later, I jumped from my seat and took one hurried step in the direction of the door when I realized why I had been feeling so free. Yes, there was a weight lifted from my shoulders, and yes, it did feel like the release of tension that I usually only experience at the end of the day …particularly when taking off my bra.
Such a freeing feeling, isn’t it? Until you start jogging anyway…
