As a member of the Sony Club, I’ve been given the chance to review some really great products. The Sony Xperia Tablet Z was no exception! With so many tablets on the market now, it can be difficult to distinguish between what’s out there. The Xperia Tablet Z, however, has some standout features. For starters, it’s 10.1″ wide and is currently the thinnest tablet on the market at just .27″ thick! This tablet has become my go-to for trips and travel because it’s so light and easy to carry.
Don’t let the thinness fool you though; the colors and picture quality on this tablet are the sharpest of any tablet that I’ve ever owned. It also features up to 9 hours of battery life (although one thing I’ve noticed is that is really reduced when you’re streaming videos). It’s quad core processor makes it really fast and there’s even a One Touch feature that lets you transfer content wirelessly to your NFC compatible TV, smartphone or speakers. The camera is also the best around as far as tablets go, and the sound quality is also noticeably better than the other tablets that I own (iPad and Galaxy).
It’s available in 16 or 32GB, it’s an Android 4.1 – Jelly Bean, has on-touch connectivity, and you can even use it as a universal remote!
Oh, and one other amazing feature, when all the ports on the Xperia Z Tablet are closed it’s waterproof!
No, really, waterproof.
The Sony Xperia Z is waterproof with all ports closed, and can even be submerged in up to 3 feet water (fresh) for up to 30 minutes! You can get the full details and purchase the tablet at the Sony Store here, or buy the Sony Xperia Z Tablet on Amazon too.
The only drawback to the tablet is that it’s so easy to carry (and conceal), that I’ve found myself telling little fibs so I can sneak off and use it (in peace and quiet). I may have told a (few) little white lies to my husband and kids, claiming to be cleaning the bathroom when in reality I was really doing this:
Let’s call it product testing and never speak of this again.
