What has eight legs, eight wheels, two tails, a pointy hat and a set of wings?
It’s my kids and I taking our Huffy Bikes around for Halloween! When I asked the kids if they wanted to ride their bikes around for trick-or-treating, I got a chorus of “Hurrays!” from my kids.
“We’ll get so much more candy!”
“I’m going to look hilarious dressed up like a dinosaur on a bike!”
“We can go to every house in the neighborhood now!”
That was just some of the chatter around the house after my Huffy Halloween suggestion! For me, it’s just something to make Halloween even more fun and special, and since I’ll be “safety checking” lots of candy for my kids (aka eating my fill), the extra exercise probably won’t hurt either!
Just make sure if you want to do a Huffy Halloween too that you’re kids costumes are safe and won’t get stuck or tangled in the bike. Also be sure that you use proper bike safety, and don’t ride in an area where there are cars or they could get hurt. Lucky for us, our neighborhood has virtually no cars that ride around Halloween, but it’s still important to make sure that they are visible in the dark (reflectors) and that you always wear a helmet! I’m still trying to figure out how to get my pointy hat on over mine…
Whether you Huffy this Halloween or not, don’t miss out on riding your Huffy bikes this Fall. Family rides (or solo ones) checking out the Fall foliage is a lot of fun too. My kids and I have also been enjoying rides where we check out the Halloween decorations, pumpkins and Jack-o-lanterns around our neighborhood. Before we know it, we’ll be riding around looking at Holiday decorations, so get out and enjoy it while you can!
