Learning Curve had created a delightful toy sure to excite any of Jim Henson’s Dinosaur Train’s fans. The train set, inspired by the hit show on PBS (Dinosaur Train), has over 8 feet of track, a motorized train with three cars, three collectible characters from the show (Mr. Conductor, Buddy T-Rex, & Laura), and three “stops” for the train. Push the smoke stack to take the characters and train from Pteranodon Terrace to Rexville Station and to Pteranodon Family Nest. This set allows you to add other dinosaurs, train cars and stops, and some of the reviews I read indicated that the motor was not strong enough to pull all the cars “well.” However, both my three and five year old boys have been playing with this set and we have not had any major issues. The train track, as long as it is on a stable surface pulls the three cars and dinosaurs just fine, and only derails when the boys knock it off the track. I think, for $24.99, it is a tremendous value, and my kids were excited to have a toy from one of their favorite PBS shows.
