This National Geographic Children’s Book,  The Classic Treasury of Childhood Wonders, is absolutely remarkable.  The book is authored by Susan H. Magsamen who is an award-winning writer and advisor on family and children issues with a special interest in creativity and learning. Her books and programs have been called “a beautiful celebration of family life, empowering parents and children to connect with each other.”  The book itself  is broken into five sections: Magic and Make-Believe, Outdoor Exploring, Crafts and Construction, Yummy for the Tummy, and Bedtime, Bathtime, and Dreamtime.   Each section is filled with beautiful artwork, poems, activities, and ways for parents and children to explore the world around them.  Honestly, this is one of the most thoughtful books I’ve come across in some time, and I cannot wait to continue to read, share, and explore it with my children.  Susan Magsamen gave us a wonderful opening to her magical book, and so I’ll leave you with that as a closing:
