Fresh Takes on Family Time and Wear Your Clothes Backward Day
Is it November already? Time flies when you’re having fun, I suppose. This time of year, as the holidays are gearing up to be in full swing, I find it easy to get lost in not only the day-to-day business of school and work, but also of course preparing for the holidays. Gearing up for Thanksgiving, traveling, holiday parties, decorating, shopping, and on and on and on.
This is also the time of year where we find many of our traditional traditions taking place, but I loved the idea of Fresh Takes on Family Time’s Wear Your Clothes Backward Day. It’s a fun and silly way to have fun with your kids and I plan on showing up for Wear Your Clothes Backward Day tomorrow, when the kids are off school, wearing all my clothes backwards without telling my kids about it first. I know they’ll find it hilarious to see me drinking coffee and making breakfast with everything on backwards…and my four year old will be half participating without knowing it as he always (and I mean always) has his pants on backwards. It seems like a fun and easy way to slow down and have some fun…before the real fun of the Holidays starts anyway. You can read the full Wear Your Clothes Backward Day article here.
What kind of nontraditional traditions do you have? I know one of my favorites is coming up…it involves lots of leftovers, pajamas all day, Christmas music and decorating. I can’t wait! Leave me a comment with your favorite tradition, or better yet, leave it on the Fresh Takes website for a chance to be featured and win some great prizes!
