Great Wines Under $20

I’m the type of person who likes to find something I like and stick to it.  It’s not so much because I’m a creature of habit, but more because I hate being disappointed when I try something new and don’t like it.  Nothing can spoil my mood quite like a bad meal, or even worse, a bad glass of wine (yes, there is such a thing as a bad bottle of wine).

After receiving Great Wines Under $20 I decided to go out on a limb and took my book to my favorite wine retailer.  I bought three bottles of wine I had seen numerous times and never tried based on Elyse’s book.  The first Box O’ Birds was under $14, just as described, and made a great pairing with a dinner of sauteed veggies, rice and grilled mahi-mahi topped with pineapple salsa.  My next new bottle was J Wine Pinot Gris, again under $14, and had a delicious hint of margarita lime!  One of my new favorites!  And last, but not least, was a bottle of Arrogant Frog Chardonny Viognier which was less than $9 and a surprising new favorite!
