Celebrate Summer with Blue Bunny!
Although Blue Bunny’s treats are something my family enjoys year round, there’s just something about eating one of their frozen treats on a hot summer day that makes it taste even better. In June, just as we were finishing the final school days, and also as we prepared to spend some time at the beach for vacation, Blue Bunny sent me some treats to help us celebrate summer!
I considered saving the best for last, but in this case I’m listing my personal favorite from this bunch first…Vanilla Chocolate Cadbury Ice Cream Bars! The creamy Blue Bunny vanilla ice cream is dipped in a rich and decadent thick layer of Cadbury chocolate. When I first opened the box, which contained eight of these delicious bars, I thought that the size of the bar seemed a little small. However, after I finished my first bar, I thought it was the perfect size. The chocolate is so rich that Blue Bunny got it just right. It’s smooth, delicious and satisfying. My only mistake was bringing the box to the beach where I only got to eat one of the eight ice cream bars! My Mom, Dad, husband and sister finished off the rest before I knew what happened! These bars are my new favorite and immediately were added to my shopping list. My advice is to find a spot in the back of your freezer, maybe behind some frozen veggies, where you can safely hide, and not share, your own Cadbury Bars!
Next up is the always popular Champs! Mini Swirls Vanilla Ice Cream Cones! These are the favorite of not just one, but all three of my kids. The box cones with ten crunchy sugar cones full of the delicious, creamy Blue Bunny vanilla ice cream and then is dipped in milk chocolate, and really, what’s not to love? The kids enjoy it not only because it’s delicious, but because it’s just the right size for them to hold and eat without it being a total mess (which of course I love), and I can’t tell you how many times, when they have tried to enjoy a larger cone, but it melted and they lost part of the snack because they were not able to eat it quick enough. That usually results in tears, and the only time we have those surrounding the Champs! Mini Swirls is when we finish the box! Adults love these too, just ask my husband, and with 140 calories you don’t even have to feel too guilty!
Next up is the Blue Bunny Sweet Freedom Chocolate and Vanilla Ice Cream Bar (a close second to the Cadbury Bars). These delicious ice cream bars are only 70 calories and 3.5 grams of fat, but you’ll be checking the nutritional information after you taste how delicious and “regular” they are…I know I did! After my very first bite, I went back to the freezer and grabbed the box to verify I was eating one of the Sweet Freedom bars made with light cream, no sugar added and dipped in a chocolate flavored coating. These were so good I may or may not have enjoyed two of them one day while on vacation. *cough*
Last in this delicious shipment was the Blue Bunny Sweet Freedom Vanilla Ice Cream Cones. If it wasn’t for my allergy to wheat, I would have been all over these yummy looking treats, but judging by the rate they quickly disappeared on vacation, I can tell you that kid and adult alike loved the taste of these no sugar added vanilla flavored ice cream in a no sugar added cone that’s topped with peanut pieces and a drizzle of chocolate sauce! These 160 calorie cones with 7 grams of fat come six in a box.
