Richard Blais Interview

& The Pork Be Inspired Campaign

Last week I had an opportunity to speak with Top Chef All Stars Winner, Richard Blais!  How exciting is that?  Even better was our topic of discussion, my favorite of all meats, pork!  Richard was in NYC at the Pork Inspiration Cafe where he was on hand dishing out some fabulous pork recipes and serving the it up with a side of inspiration!   Now you may know Richard Blais for some of his avant-garde culinary techniques on TV, but now the Top Chef All-Stars winner is bringing his passion for flavor and innovation to your kitchen to help take weeknight dinners from traditional to inspirational by working with America’s Pork Producers on the “Pork Be Inspired” campaign.

The Pork Be Inspired Campaign is as simple as it sounds.  You can visit their website or their Facebook page for information on upcoming events, recipes, butcher’s tips, winning pork for a year (!) and how just by “liking” their Facebook page you can help fight hunger through Feed America!  Although you’ll find an abundance of mouth-watering, savory pork recipes on the website,  not surprisingly three of my favorite recipes are from Richard Blais.  In the video you’ll see him preparing a pork chop like none you’ve ever tried!  Plus, he gives me some confidence to tackle ribs on my own!  Check out the interview:

You can also “like” Richard’s page on Facebook too and find “Pork Be Inspired” on Twitter as well.  I hope you’re as inspired as I was, and please let me know if you try any of the recipes.  After reading and bookmarking most of their website, I have a feeling chicken is going to become my family’s “other white meat.”  Come join me and enjoy some pork!
