Baby Wit Tee Shirts

Do you think that just because you’re a Mom now that you need to give up your sense of style or humor? Well, the Stay at Home Mom founder of Baby Wit would disagree with you and so would I!  Baby Wit tees tell the world that just because you’re a Mom, or Dad, or kid, or even dog that doesn’t mean you can’t have style or make a statement with one of their cool, funny and even eclectic shirts!

After tiring of all the same tee shirts with the standard cartoon dump trucks and Barney-ish type dinosaurs at department stores,  I was happy to find the boys some cool shirts at Babywit.com that both they and I would love for back to school.  I let the boys browse the huge selection, and they liked several of the designs including The Crab on Cool Kids Clothes, Rock Star, and even the Jon Stewart shirt although I don’t think they quite “got it” and just said that they liked it because I laughed out loud upon picturing a kid wearing a Jon Stewart shirt.

After some serious consideration, and me almost regretting sharing the online shopping experience, the boys both finally came to a decision.  Jake chose the Orange Godzilla in Portland tee and Joey chose the King Kong taking down a city tee.

Pretty far from Barney and that's just fine with me!

This one was just right for Joey!

After seeing the humorous and witty shirts for the kids, I decided to get one for myself as well.  They have a number of other Women’s products too besides tee shirts, so I had to remind myself that I was here (this time) to order tee shirts.  I loved the Charcoal Berry Lexington Baby Bag (although it’s so fabulous I’m sure you could pass it off as a large bag/purse), as well as the dresses, skirts, and other bags they offered.  My boys helped me pick a tee and although I also liked the Hot dog and Mustard High Five and the Busy Bee, they voted for the “Hug Me” Porcupine shirt. I thought it was a nice fit for me since I hate people (other than family/friends) touching me and it’s got the whole irony/pun thing going.

When we received our shirts, very quickly I might add, we washed and wore them right away.  The shirts, which are made by American Apparel, are 100% cotton, so remember that when ordering.  There was some slight shrinking, and for the boys it didn’t matter much, however, I should have probably gone a size up.  I normally wear a 8/10, but my I’m a bit busty so the shrinking of my tee is okay through the arms and tummy, but it’s a bit snug in the chest now.  It’s certainly still wearable, and I’ve worn it twice since then, but it’s something to keep in mind when you order.

This will surely be my first of many orders from Babywit.com.  I am a true believer than just because you are a parent you do not have to conform to a certain mold.  I love to laugh, appreciate all kinds of humor, and I think being a mother to three kids age 5, 3, and 1 actually requires an even better sense of humor.  So have a  chuckle and express yourself with a fun tee from Babywit.com!

Stay tuned for a Giveaway from Babywit.com in the near future too!
