I was given my choice of items to review and my kids who are 5, 3 and 1 agreed (as much as any 5, 3 and 1 year old can) on the Pop ‘N Play Castle. I was particularly pleased with this item not just because of the fast (and currently listed as free) shipping, but because it is an item that expands to a full play castle, can be stored flat. It also requires no assembly! It “pops” and expands to a working fortress within seconds! It also has medieval style archways, a drawbridge, workbenches and more.
My kids love this toy and it’s been “Shrek’s Castle,” “Bowser’s Castle” and a “Princess Castle” among others. My kids, being younger, aren’t always gentle with their toys and I was a bit concerned that the castle might not withstand their level of play, but it has held up really well. They are constantly opening and closing the drawbridge as well as crawling through, running around and stacking toys on the benches and they still retained their shape.
My boys, who are 5 and 3, loved being able to color the castle as well. Talk about something to occupy their time, they spent hours the first week trying to get the colors and areas filled in. My only problem has been their one year old sister who “stinks at coloring” and has “messed up” the boys creation. In this case, I might have to get the boys something separate that she can’t interfere with…with the low cost, free shipping and good quality, I’m not worried about having to buy a second or a third item from BuildaDreamPlayhouses.com!
