My apron collection has recently gone elegant and sophisticated with the addition of the “Little Black Dress with Pearls” designer apron from Bee-Bops Party Wear.  Bee-Bop started her career over 25 years ago as a custom stenciler and canvas floor-cloth designer and fabricator. Her work has been featured in numerous design periodicals, books, television shows, designer show-houses and museums. Early American Homes magazine chose her three consecutive years as one of “America’s 200 Best Craftsmen”.  Bee-Bop is also a past and present vendor and sponsor at the famed Metropolitan Cooking and Entertainment Show.  This year’s event will be taking place on November 13th & 14th in Washington D.C. where she will be providing the table linens and flowers again this year for the celebrity green rooms which in years past included celebrity chefs like Paula Deen, Bobby Flay, Giada DeLaurentis, and this year Rachel Ray!

Beep-Bop, aka Molly Pritchett, offers offer the finest quality in custom tablecloths and fine table linens, as well as the more desirable hand sewn designer hostess aprons in addition to very  practical  kitchen aprons.  Her products are originals, not massed produced, and she creates each party wear package by hand. They make thoughtful, wonderful gifts for everything from birthdays to bridal showers, and because everything is custom crafted, it can (literally) be tailored to suit your needs!

As I browsed her website of past creations, I was not sure what type of apron I was looking for. I fell in love with several designs like the Sexy Sheer Red and White Organza Designer Apron,  the Vintage with a Twist Apron, and the Cheetah Queen of the Jungle apron!

After speaking with Bee-Bop, telling her about myself, and after she visited my website, she suggested a twist on an apron she had previously made.  I didn’t even need to go back and look at the “Little Black Dress” apron because it was also one of my favorites from her gallery.

This gorgeous black apron, custom designed by Bee-Bop herself, is made from a soft satin material that is adorned with black polka dots. The long string of white pearls adds an even greater sense of sophistication to the piece, but is removable, so you can, if you choose, not wear the long string of pearls. Also included was an off-white floral brooch which when pinned to the neckline of the dress apron created another look entirely. For even more versatility the brooch can be worn in your hair.

Although I did not immediately have an event where I could wear this apron, it inspired me to have a fun dinner party with some friends.  I even broke out the fine China and served Cornish game hens…all inspired by this fun and sophisticated apron! I can’t wait for my next dinner party just to show off this beautifully designed apron again.

So whether you are looking for a custom piece for yourself, or as a thoughtful and fabulous gift for someone else, visit Bee-Bop’s Party Wear. You can email her at orders@beebopspartywear.com or call her at 877-869-7022 to have her craft something unique and elegant but that still fits your budget!
