Something strange happened after I received my BellaPamella Nora Retro Apron in Ruby Dot Fabric. Actually, ‘strange’ isn’t really the word I was looking for; something unexpected and almost magical happened. It is as if BellaPamella somehow channels or invokes the “spirit” of the housewives of old. This fabulously cute retro apron is still stylish and can be worn today, but when I wear my BellaPamella Apron and matching hair snug I feel like I true domestic diva! There’s a certain kinship I feel with the housewives of the 40′s and 50′s, and maybe it’s just my imagination, but when I wear it and cook and clean with children tugging at the apron I feel like one of “them.” You can actually feel yourself, in that moment, making memories that your children will carry with them as they grow older. “Mom in her apron, baking a cake, giving me a lick of the spoon…”

I have quite a collection of aprons going, but I find it fascinating that my children connect the way they do to my BellaPamella Apron especially since I have only had it a couple of months. Whenever I put it on they ask what I’m cooking, and seem to recall the first time I wore it which was the test run to see how well it worked while I baked my Grandmother’s Pound Cake. I can honestly say it’s passed my test.

Not only is the apron stylish, but it is so functional as well. Its design is that of comfort and ease and put it on and off without issues. The sailor collar in the back is unique but serves a purpose too which is to keep the apron right where it is supposed to be. The pockets are great for spoons, spatulas, or in my case recipes I’ve scribbled down on paper (and plenty of room for my pen too which I’ll inevitably need as I make my recipe modifications)! The apron itself is made from 100% cotton, washes easily, and the fabric has retained it’s color through multiple washes.

Be sure to check out the other great products on the BellaPamella website; I know I’ll be expanding my apron collection soon to include the Eunice Apron in Dotty Plaid soon (and I’m thinking of turning really domestic and ordering the fabric to try to make a matching table cloth)! Be sure to visit the BellaPamella “Ideas” page for some great ideas too (hence the name) for everything from crafts to cakes to my personal favorite turning something old into something new (check out Repurposing the old play set)-fantastic!

So whether you are looking for an apron for yourself or as a gift (great for the holidays, birthdays, bridal showers, etc.), or even for your little one (great bibs and children’s aprons too), BellaPamella is sure to have something to fit your needs! And don’t forget your matching hair snug…I’m declaring the BellaPamella Nora Apron a mandatory part of an Domestic Diva uniform! They’re functional, fashionable, and fun!
