The Huffy Cruiser

My very first “big girl” bike was a Huffy Sweet Thunder, and now some 25 years a while later I’m back on a Huffy.  When I was 8 years old, riding around with my friends on my Huffy Sweet Thunder, I was allowed to ride my bike in the street while my younger sister and my friends younger sibilings had to stick to the sidewalks.  The younger kids were of course annoyed by this so they would call us “The Street Hogs” just to be bratty little sisters and brothers.  Well, these  many years later I’m in another Huffy gang (kind of)….the Moms on Bikes…

The premise of the Moms on Bikes campaign is simple…get adults back on bikes.  Put down your cell phone, step away from the computer, get out of the kitchen, or whatever it is keeping you from the feeling of wind in your hair, sun on your shoulders!  Get out and watch your stress and worries disappear one pedal at a time…

This isn’t some exclusive, invitation only club – I want you to join me and so does Huffy!  Take a look at the

We are a sisterhood of Moms who enjoy the freedom of riding Huffy Cruisers. We ride for fun. We ride as we are. We ride to feel alive and free- the way our first Huffy made us feel when we were kids.

Our credo is hop on and go. Our mantra is keep on pedaling.  We don’t believe in finish lines and finish at our leisure.

We ride with friends. We ride with family. We ride alone.

But we are never alone…

We are Huffy Moms on Bikes.
