I’m not sure what happens after the sun slips below the horizon and we tuck our children into their beds.
During the day I find myself wondering how even a solitary child can make so much noise as they move around, but at night they go from sounding like a herd of elephants to muted ninjas.
And I know I’ve said it before, but opening your eyes to find a kid standing in total darkness, silently staring at your face while you sleep, is (still) by far the creepiest part of parenting.
