In 2010, Word Couture founders discovered that their local wine bar along with local restaurants, vineyards, and bars were throwing away some beautiful wine bottles with the trash! Not only were some of these gorgeous bottles not being recycled, they were just being thrown out to end up in a landfill. After some creative thinking, some testing of different ideas, they came up with a beautiful way to upcycle some of these beautiful bottles.
Using a special technique, Word Couture removes the bottom of the bottles and uses a flameless candle underneath. They didn’t stop there, however. They decided that everyone loves personalization and through personalization they would make their lanterns even more unique. By utilizing a special computer program, a professional vinyl cutter and commercial grade permanent vinyl to design monograms or even short sayings, they have created beautiful personalized art!
The finished product for these bottles is just simply beautiful. The fit seamlessly into just about any decor, yet at the same time really make a statement. I added my own bottles, one with an “S” and the other with an “M” in my dinning room on either side of my wine rack. The flameless candles are perfect, especially with having small children, and they have drawn attention from just about every guest!

Not only would I love several of these for my home they would make really unique gifts. It comes to mind for a the birth of a baby you could put a nipple on the top. My favorite would be the three letter monogram.

I love this!! I just got marriedin December and ourcaterung company saved all ofourcorks from the wine used. I am now in the process if creating some sort of wreath or table display togo on top of our wibe bar! This hurrican wine bottle wouldbe the perfect compliment to it!!!!
