A few weeks ago someone had shared a picture with me, which at the time, I assumed was a total fantasy – wine ice cream. It took about 10 minutes for me to post it on Facebook before a reader verified not only was it true, and about to change my life, but they also had a name – Mercer’s Dairy.
At Mercer’s, they produce true wine ice cream too, not just wine-flavored ice cream. It is a 15% butterfat and up to 5% alcohol by volume WINE INFUSED ice cream. (With 5 percent alcohol, you must be 21 years of age or older to enjoy) In fact, the formula is trade-secreted by Mercer’s Dairy.
Honestly, I don’t care how they make it, just that they never, ever stop.
Mercer’s Wine Ice Cream is available in the following varieties:
- Cherry Merlot
- Chocolate Cabernet
- Peach White Zinfandel
- Port
- Red Raspberry Chardonnay
- Riesling
Mercer’s was kind enough to send me a sampler pack of their wine ice cream which includes a delicious pint of each flavor (this is what FIVE winners – US ONLY – who are 21 yrs & older will receive too). I’ve tried each of the varieties, and it’s hard to say I have a favorite. If I had to pick I’d say the Chocolate Cabernet would be it, but I loved each of the other flavors as well. Unfortunately for me, my husband seems to be enjoying each of them as well.

Wonderful Wine Flavored Ice Cream — what could be better? Such Delicious Decadence! Must immerse myself in each pint to experience the full-flavored effect. How soon before my 6-pack arrives?
